1.Adverb clauses of cause/ reason.( Mệnh đề trạng từ chỉ nguyên nhân).
Because / As /Since (bởi vì) + mệnh đề chỉ nguyên nhân…..
Eg: Ba is tired because/ as / since he stayed up late watching TV.
or: Because/ As/ Since Ba stayed up late watching TV, he is tired.
2.Adverb clauses of result. (Mệnh đề trạng từ chỉ kết quả.)
Mđề chính + so (vì vậy) + Mđề chỉ kquả.
Eg: Lan is very intelligent , so I like her.
My mother is sick so she can`t go to work.
3.Adverb clauses of concession.(Mệnh đề chỉ sự nhượng bộ)
Although/ though/ even though (mặc dù) + Mđề chỉ sự nhượng bộ….
Eg: Although I was tired, I helped Tuan with his homework.
Though
Even though
or : I helped Tuan with his homework although/ though/ even though I was tired.
4.Lời đề nghị:
S + suggest + V-ing……
S + suggest + that + S + should + V(nguên thể)….
Eg: I suggest turning off the lights.
I suggest that you should speak Enhlish in class.
5.Relative clauses:
…. N(vật/sự việc) + which + V….
….. N(người) + who + V…..
........N(người) + whom + S + V......
.........N(người) + whose + N +...........
....... N(người/vật) + that + S + V..........
.......N(nơi chốn) + where + S + V....
......N (time) + when + S + V.....

Eg: Tet is a festival . It occurs in late January or February.
Tet is a festival which occurs in late January or February.
Hong Nhung is a famous singer.She sings very well.
Hong Nhung who sings very well, is a famous singer.
6.Câu điều kiện ( conditional sentences).
Loại 1:(Type 1).Diễn tả sự việc có thể xảy ra trong tương lai.
If + S + V(hiện tại) + ….., S + will + V(ng.thể)…
Eg: If it is fine tomorrow, I will go for a picnic with my friends.
Loại 2: (Type 2).Diễn tả sự kiện không có thật ở hiện tại .
If + S + V(quá khứ) …, S + would/should + V(nguyên thể)…
(be were)
Eg: I would tell the truth if I were you.
If he had much money, he would buy a new car.
7ớc cho hiện tại: Những điều không thể xảy ra ở hiện tại
S + wish(es) + S + V(qk).....
(be - were)
Eg: a) I am a student. She wishes she were a teacher.
b) I don`t have many friends. He wishes he had many friends.
